Atlas2 and Ethertap network diagnostic

Hi everyone,

we have atlas2 and ethertap (100mbps) and the license for Ethernet/IP, Profinet and Modbus
if we measurement of Profinet, we can see so much information like topology, detail error at remote io slot, load buffer, jitter, respone time, the device list and even we can change ip the device as long as not communication with plc master,

but when we connect with ethernet/ip network, i can't found any data like detail error at remote io slot, load buffer and jitter only show at few devices, and we can't manage the ip of device

my question is:
1. when we must use 100mbps ethertap or change to 1G ethertap? 
2. what typical speed ethertap for profinet and ethernet/ip?
3. if we found some network using loop connection (in this case ethernet/IP), how we can put connection for active measurement?
4. what kind analysis we need do and can do for profinet, ethernet/ip or modbus? can we got some guidence or manual to do analysis?

  Hi Joned!

  I talked with a few of my collegues about your questions since I'm not an expert for the Anybus Diagnostic Products.

  For Profinet 100mbps should be enough, Ethernet/IP might do more than that so maybe for that.

   

  Profinet active Measurement is SNMP they are standadized to answer to those active measurement requests. If you have more Ethernet/IP questions maybe we can switch this into a Support Case So you get routed to the experts.
