    Hi Pete,

I believe that the BACnet functionality on the Flexy is as a BACnet Client, so it can poll data from BACnet Servers. Can the HVAC controller act as a Server or only as a Client?

If it can act as a Server, this is possible. If not, you would need a BACnet Server, like the Intesis INBACPRT1K20000

I have already done this on another project and the devices were on the LAN side, and it worked well, in this case the bacnet server is on the WAN side and the Siemens PLC is on the LAN side and it does not work.

You need to set WANitfProt to 2 to allow WAN to LAN communication.

    Thanks !

What is the best way to write data coming from an ioserver to another ioserver ?

Should I use script in BASIC IDE ?

Yes, here's an example: Store and Forward tags | Ewon Developers

    Thanks ! it works fine.

Like I said I am pooling data with the bacnet server from a device located on the WAN side.

I set WANitfProt to 2 to allow WAN to LAN communication.

It works fine for 2 days, now it does not work.

    Any idea ?

We are pooling data from a bacnet HVAC device on the wan side.

    Network topology:

1 -          On Ewon power on, communication doesn’t work. ( see picture no 2 )

The Ewon seem to register is BACnet server only on the LAN side. ( see (1) picture below )

2-           With our controller software on the WAN side, we can force to send a BACnet WHOIS broadcast that forces the PLC to answer with his IAM bacnet statement   ( see (2) on picture below ).

This process seem to trigger the Ewon to understand that this device is on the Wan side and the IO server start to work again until the next ewon power cycle. ( Picture no 3 )

Is there any way at the power on to force the bacnet server to register also on WAN side ?

If no one can answer, can someone direct me to another service so that I can get an answer and resolve my problem?

    Hi Pete,

It sounds like a possible bug that we will have to try to reproduce. I will create a support ticket for you so we can escalate this to the Ewon developers.
