ABC3007-A No longer sends Serial messages
Hello,
I am using an ABC3007-A Serial Master to Ethernet/IP Adapter. The ethernet is working fine, and for about 2 months the serial has been fine as well. It is using MODBUS RTU over RS485 to talk to 2 welder, and recently it stopped sending messages entirely. This happened while 1 of the welders was running.
I have checked the welder, they do not seem to be the issue. I was able to connect to them with an adapter and issue MODBUS commands that they responded to. The gateway is not sending messages whether both are connected, 1 is connected, or none are. It also does not send messages when I have my PC configured as a serial Slave. I have done a factory reset and a firmware update, with no change in behavior.
Has anyone run into an issue like this?

Do you have the signal ground connected?
Are you using termination resistors?

I do have the signal ground connected, I am not using termination resistors. When I initially installed the gateway, I did use termination resistors, but was having trouble communicating with the welders and was advised to remove the resistors, which worked. As mentioned, the gateway was able to communicate with the welders fine for 2 months. Nothing has changed about the connection to the welders.
