USB-to-CAN V2 stopping to interpet data

So we have some SW that communicates over can I'm using a USB-to-CAN v2 to make the HW connection. I recently changed the computer running the SW and now the porgram stops showing values comming from CAN after a couple of minutes. I dont see any traffic using CANalyzer 3 but I see the CAN data traffic 

 

 

Any tips?

  I assume that the problem can occur if the application with the primary access (sporadically) initializes the CAN interface board in the exclusive mode, or maybe you are using any old firmware of the USB-to-CAN V2.

  1. Which version of the VCI is used? VCI V4.0.1164.0?
     (Please send us a screenshot of the list with installed IXXAT software)
     (see „Start | Control panel | Programs | Programs and Feature | VCI version“)
     
     
  2. Which version of the firmware is running on the USB-to-CAN V2? FW V1.8.4?
     (see "Device Manager | IXXAT VCI | VCI HW | Properties | Hardware Info | firmware (running)")
     
     
  3. Please update the firmware up to FW V1.8.4 if any older version is used and let me know if the problem still occurs.

  4. Is the USB-to-CAN V2 connected to the PC directly or via any USB extension cable?
     
     
  5. Can you check if the problem occurs even using an external USB HUB with an external power supply?

  Hi KarlMark, 

  What is the software that you're using? 

  The red icon means that canAnalyser3 Mini cannot set communication parameters because another application holds privileged access. 

  Were both PCs using Windows 10 or do they have different operating systems?

  Can you tell me what you mean by this: "I dont see any traffic using CANalyzer 3 but I see the CAN data traffic"? Where do you see the CAN data?

  Hey Kyle

  The software is costum made for us. It interfaces a Large battery module tester. 
  
  I should have said that I can see Bus Load, like it would when I see tht actual data.
  

  This is after I stop the program and reinsert the USB. I'm not entirely sure how long it takes for the messages to not be shown. I also the receiv counter is not showing any in the first picture.
  
  The new Computer is running win 11 Enterpprise. The old one were running win 10

  Could this also be due to driver version issues? 
  
  There are some driver in the folder for the program I'm running.

   

  Ixxat drivers installed:
  

  And the dll files in the folder of the programm are 4.0.436

  Hello Andreas.

   

  Thanks for the tip on updateing FW. it looks have done the trick. It had FW V1.5.4  (VCI 3)
