QUESTION
Why is the Modbus tag value incorrect on my Ewon Flexy?
ANSWER
If there is no error on the Modbus tag, you can be sure that the tag communication is okay. In this case, the data is being retrieved but it's not being interpreted properly by the Flexy. After the Modbus address, the address field will suggest adding a modifier:
Then it will give you options to choose from:
A common example is with a float/decimal value. A float value typically occupies 2 Modbus registers so the "F" modifier tells the Flexy to read two registers and put the registers in a certain order. The modifier "H" is also for a float value but with the register order swapped.
