This document describes the different steps on checking the compatibility with Intesis AC Interfaces.

IN THIS ARTICLE
There are 2 main categories of gateways: One-to-One and Multi-Unit.
The One-to-One category is divided into 3 subcategories depending on the type of gateway: Universal IR, AC Connector and RC Connector. For this solution we have Universal IR and RC Connector available.
One-to-One
These gateways communicate with a single Indoor Unit and offer individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.).
Within this category there are 2 different types of Toshiba gateways:
- Universal IR.
- RC Connector.
When checking a compatibility consider:
- Supported: VRF and Digital systems, Split units, Ducted, Ceilling, Floor and Cassettes.
- Not supported: RAC Units and Outdoor Units.

Accessories: IR Kit receiver (RBC-AX31U(W)-E, TCB-ACX32E2).
Universal IR
The Universal IR communicates via the Infrared receiver of the Indoor Unit
RC Connector
These gateways are connected to the Indoor Unit using the Indoor Unit's remote control bus (AB), which is the same bus used by the wired remote control of the Indoor Unit itself.
Multi-Unit
These gateways have direct access to the Outdoor Unit communication bus (TCC link) providing individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.) and signals from the Outdoor Units. These gateways use ETS as Configuration Tool.
When checking a compatibility consider:
- Indoor Units cannot be connected directly to the gateways.
