This document describes the different steps on checking the compatibility with Intesis AC Interfaces.
APPLICABLE PRODUCTS
- Haier & Universal AC Interfaces: (INKNXHAI008C000, INKNXHAI016C000, INKNXHAI064C000, INWFIUNI001I000, IN485UNI001I100, INKNXUNI001I000).
PRE-REQUISITES
Considerations before reviewing a compatibility.
IN THIS ARTICLE
There are 2 main categories of gateways: One-to-One and Multi-Unit.
The One-to-One category is divided into 3 subcategories depending on the type of gateway: Universal IR, AC Connector and RC Connector. For this solution we have Universal IR available.
One-to-One
These gateways communicate with a single Indoor Unit and offer individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.).
Within this category there is 1 type of Haier gateways:
- Universal IR.
When checking a compatibility consider:
- Outdoor Units cannot be connected directly to the gateways.
Universal IR
The Universal IR communicates via the Infrared receiver of the Indoor Unit
Multi-Unit
These gateways are connected to an adapter (HA-MA164AD or HA-MB164AD or HA-MC164AD) providing individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.) and signals from the Outdoor Units. These gateways use Intesis MAPS as Configuration Tool.
When checking a compatibility consider:
- Indoor Units cannot be connected directly to the gateways.
-
If the Haier Communication Adaptor does not include a G1 connector, use only 2 wires (AB).
