PRE-REQUISITES
Considerations before reviewing a compatibility.
IN THIS ARTICLE
There are 2 main categories of gateways: One-to-One and Multi-Unit.
The One-to-One category is divided into 3 subcategories depending on the type of gateway: Universal IR, AC Connector and RC Connector.
One-to-one
These gateways communicate with a single Indoor Unit and offer individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.).
Within this category there are 3 different types of Fujitsu gateways:
- Universal IR.
- AC Connector.
- RC Connector.
When checking a compatibility consider:
- Supported: Cassettes, Duct, Floor standing units, Wall mount, Air curtain, VRF Fan Coil units.
- Not supported: Air to water, AHU, Heat exchange systems and Outdoor Units.
-
If the Indoor Unit supports, the LAN interface UTY-TFSXF2 we are compatible but you cannot connect both at the same time.
-
3 Wires remote control supported (some Indoor Units with 2-wires can changed to 3 Wires connection).
-
Accesories: IR Kit receiver (UTY-LBTUM), UTY-XCBXZ2, UTY-XWNX, UTY-TWRX, UTY-XCBXZ1, UTY-TWBXF, UTY-TWBXF1, UTY-XCBXE.
Universal IR
The Universal IR communicates via the Infrared receiver of the Indoor Unit
AC Connector
These gateways are connected to the Indoor Unit via a specific connector (CN6 or CN12 or CN65) on the PCB.
RC Connector
These gateways are connected to the Indoor Unit using the Indoor Unit's remote control bus (RWB), which is the same bus used by the wired remote control of the Indoor Unit itself.
Multi-Unit
These gateways have direct access to the Outdoor Unit communication bus (X1/X2) providing individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.) and signals from the Outdoor Units. These gateways use Intesis MAPS as Configuration Tool.
When checking a compatibility consider:
- Indoor Units cannot be connected directly to the gateways.
- Compatible with VRF Outdoor Units.
-
Not compatible with Air to water units, AHU, Heat exchange systems.
