AB7318-B CAN / EtherNet/IP
Struggling with the CAN side of this communicator. I can't get past the Error Passive issue. I have LED 5 flaashing green.
This did work once for a few mins and then something happened and I can't get it back to a healthy state. The on the CAN side of the bus is a Curtis AC F10 controller. On the EtherNet/IP side is a Rockwell Compact Guardlogix. The EtherNet/IP side is fine and running healthy.
If I run PCAN-View I can see the four 8 byte consume MCU messages are all good and transmitting. If I look in the Anybus Monitor/Modify window the consume messages all show zero's. If this ahd never worked then i'd question the wiring, but given it did work for a few mins earlier and I haven't managed to make it work again something is up and I have no clue what. It I look at the CAN line listener there is nothing there at all.

Since this was also submitted to support via a ticket I will add a brief comment for anyone else who finds this post.
The solution was two-fold, the Error Passive was fixed with a correction on the wiring. There was still an issue with the traffic on the CAN bus being a mix of 11- and 29-bit, a fix was applied to the device to correct this.
Traffic is now being correctly recognised and data captured by the Communicator CAN.
