Connecting to Automation Direct C-more Web Server through M2Web

On windows, Automation Direct C-more web server works by opening a web page that allows you to download a *.exe file to the hard disk and if a connection path is established, you can open the exe file to view contents of the C-more screen on the laptop.

When using eCatcher, the *.exe file works great. Unfortunately, M2Web does not yield same results. The webpage opens up and it downloads the *.exe file. But the screens do not show up and always get "Panel communication time out" error.

Is this a limitation of M2Web?

  Yes, most likely this is a limitation of M2Web. M2Web is not an actual VPN connection, it is a proxy connection through a browser, so there is a limitation on the types of communication that is possible. In this case, you will have to use eCatcher.
