Default Values in ethercat - XML

Hi,

 

I need to understand how to set a default value to a PARAMETER in ethercat fieldbus

 

I use this initialization:

 

const AD_AdiEntryType APPL_asAdiEntryList[] = {

{ 0x240, "OUTPUT_1", ABP_UINT16, 1, APPL_WRITE_MAP_READ_ACCESS_DESC, { { &appl_output_1, NULL } } },

};

 

where 

AD_UINT16Type appl_input_1_props = { { 2, 0xFFF0, 0x1234 } };

 

 

Also I enable this:

 

#ifndef AD_IA_MIN_MAX_DEFAULT_ENABLE

#defineAD_IA_MIN_MAX_DEFAULT_ENABLE ( TRUE )

But when I use codesys for set the default values at the startup:

 

 

Also in the XML file generated with ETHERCAT ESI GENERATOR I cannot see the default values.

 

 

How can I solve?

  Hi Gioele,

  defining default values this way only makes sense for ADIs with a APPL_WRITE_MAP_READ_ACCESS_DESC descriptor, i.e. for input process data from the PLCs point of view.

  Regarding the ESI file, it might be that the ESI Generator tool doesn't support this functionality.  I recommend adding the default value manually for the pertaining index in the OD.
