    Hi Paul

My first suggestion would be to speak to your local HMS Networks office or ChannePartner to discuss the best solution for your application, there are a few required details missing to be able to give you a full answer here.

For a start - the Anybus EtherNet/IP Scanner is supplied in an Anybus X-gateway to communicate data between one or more EtherNet/IP Adapters and a controller which uses (typically) a different protocol. You will need to determine which Industrial Protocols the CoDeSys PLC is able to support - I would think Modbus TCP as a minimum.

If the EN2T presents itself as an EtherNet/IP Adapter and you have the details of the Assembly Objects and Connection Points then yes, the Scanner in the Anybus X-gateway can be configured to exchange data with that.

"Will the Scanner device work in a Codesys PLC" - well, no, the Scanner cannot be integrated into a PLC, instead it is a standalone device which presents to a PLC as an IO device using whatever Protocol the PLC supports.

If we assume that the PLC can support Modbus TCP then this gateway is the solution:
    https://www.anybus.com/products/gateway-index/anybus-xgateway/detail/anybus-x-gateway-ethernet-ip-scanner---modbus-tcp-server

From the above page you can reach the Support Page which gives you the documentation and application notes on how to configure the X-gateway.

Our local HMS offices and Channel Partners can offer more support and help to test the solution.
