    Hi Jiott,

You need to use the PLC's IP address and configure "ethernet devices' driver (AB-ETH1). There are step-by-step directions for common PLCs in the PLC area on ewon.biz:
    https://websupport.ewon.biz/support/product/controllogix-family/controllogix-family

See this doc pages 7-9 specifically:

    Kyle,

Just wanted to clarify:we have a four port eWON connected to an Ethernet switch. Is that acceptable?

    Kyle,

One more piece of information. RSWho shows the PLC as an unrecognized device (below).

    Kyle,

I followed the guide you suggested including the troubleshooting tips and I'm still not able to access the PLC. The PLC IP address is 192.168.1.10. The eWON's IP address is 192.168.1.20. Using a CMD prompt I can successfully ping the eWON but not the PLC. The architecture we have is similar to the one in the guide (below) which includes an Ethernet switch. It seems I can communicate from my remote laptop up to the eWON but not to the PLC. Any suggestions?

OK thank you, that is helpful. Now, are you trying to connect with your PC through the VPN, the WAN, or the LAN?

    Hey Kyle,

I just wanted to follow up with you on that eWON we installed in NJ. Today I worked with personnel out there and it came down to resetting a latched bit in the PLC. The machine is back up and running and I didn't lose 2 days and $1000s of dollars travelling out there to do something that took minutes to do remotely. Thanks again for making it possible!

    Hi Kyle,

I found this article after searching something similar to my situation. I have the same issue, only I don't have a "latched bit in the PLC" to reset in the PLC. I am not exactly sure how that's relevant to the issue.

Your last question was "OK thank you, that is helpful. Now, are you trying to connect with your PC through the VPN, the WAN, or the LAN?"

Mine is connected to the LAN. I can ping other devices on the network (network 3) but not my 5069-L306ER PLC. I am not sure why?
