    Hello,

I have just quickly created a test setup to verify the behaviour of the HMS POWERLINK XDDFile Uploader.  I could observe that the tool, before the actual scan, performs a reset of the POWERLINK interface.

So when you report that at first the STS LED flashes, but then all lights go off upon the start of scanning, I deduce that there might be something wrong with your reset routine.  Your application might have a problem re-initializing the module after a reset command from the network.

You could narrow down the problem by recording the message log between ABCC40 and your host controller.

Other than that, please make sure to hook up your POWERLINK CN using a 1:1 connection to the PC and that you assign a node ID between 1..239 once by means of the ABCC driver function APPL_SetAddress(<id>).

Thank you for your help.  It was getting stuck in the Exception state because I had previously commented out the Reset state handler and apparently never needed it until now.  After reimplementing Reset and setting the Node ID to be non-zero, the tool now works properly.
