    Hi,

We recommend using an email-to-SMS service, as the free relays can be unreliable.

We were recently notified that the free @vtext.com email-to-SMS relay is no longer working. This is due to Verizon blocking our email server because they are no longer offering this service for free. They are asking customers to sign up with an Enterprise Messaging account (https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-213066).

For the most reliable delivery of your SMS messages, we recommend using a 3rd-party email-to-SMS provider, like the Talk2m Relay Service. You can switch to the Talk2M service by changing "@vtext.com" with "@sms.talk2m.com", for example 0012223331234@sms.talk2m.com. Talk2M Free+ accounts come with a credit balance of $15.00. Once that is used, they will be charged $0.33/per message. Talk2M Pro accounts get the first 50 messages per month free, then pay $0.16 per message thereafter.

There are also a number of other 3rd party email-to-SMS services, with varying prices and guarantees, so we recommend choosing the plan that works best for your needs.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,

    Kyle Reynolds

    Hello Kyle,

We are having the same issue across all cell providers.  We have a pro account and tried changing over to @sms.talk2m.com and still nothing will send out.

Another issue is if there is a regular email and a email to text address in the same line (separated by a comma), the regular email will not receive a message.  You have to remove the email to text address and then the regular emails will send out.  This was not an issue before.

    Hi Tania,

It's possible that the first issue is related to the second one. Can you make sure that:

    • You have a credit balance in the Talk2M account,
    • the email addresses are separated by a comma and there are no spaces,
    • the phone number begins with the prefix 001, for example, 0012223331234,
    • the SMTP Server address is 'relay.talk2m.com' in Setup > System > Main > Net Services > SMTP (emails), and
    • the Email "From" Username is [your talk2m account name]@talk2m.com, for example TaniasAccount@talk2m.com.

If you continue to experience problems, can you please create a support case so that we can take a closer look at the problem? Please include the T2M account name and a backup of the Ewon, including support files.
