It can work if you have a public ip address but this will open up your device to the internet and make it less secure. I'm talking with one of my colleagues who has a more secure version that works...

On Page 31 we found the datasheet for the Digital inputs. From 0-5 volts the device registers as off. You need to supply at least 10 volts for the key to turn on. https://websupport.ewon.biz/sites/...
