Ecatcher having VPN Tunnel Error: Failed to Open tap-windows6 adapter

I have multiple cosi ewon that have been giving me trouble lately. I was gone for a month doing a service job and came back to the office trying to connect to my clients and kept receiving the same error: VPN Tunnel error: failed to open tap-windows6 adapter. Ran connection checker to see whats going on and I only have a connection to 41% of the ewons out there at this moment. I talked to IT and no major changes have occured in the network. I checked the adapter name and it matches what it should be. I can't tell if my laptop updated itself and lost connection that way, but any help or advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
