    Hi Robert!

I kept an eye on your case since the Gateway does not seem to fit since it's only one directional,

You could take a look at the Flexy from our EWON Brand.

It can do MQTT subscribe & publish, bot on the Rockwell Side it doesn't support the 'Ethernet IP' Protocoll if you want to be an adapter there, the Flexy wouldn't be the right solution but if you just want to get the Data (not that fast so fastest would be every second better every 2 seconds depending on how many tags) you can connect over the same Port and method as the Engineering tool.

For the MicroLogix that can be over RS232 (DF1) or the Ethernet Port like RSlinx-RSlogix500 tool.

I just checked for AB MicroLogix 800 series PLC:

we haven't heard anything on the DF1 yet if that works with that Model, there is a special cable needed to connect to that over RS232 and it would need a Port that supports it. Over the Ethernet Port you would need to use the Modbus Protocoll and configure the PLC to allow to be polled via Modbus Protocoll instead of Ethernet/IP the PLC seems to be configured by a different kind of tool... so the old way doesn't seem to be supported anymore.

Hi Robert it's me once again :-D

I also checked with our newest Products from Redlion.

They can connect over The Manufacturer specific Protocoll to the PLC (Like the Engineering Tool) or be a  normal Ethernet IP adapter:

And they can do MQTT with their Gateway:

I forwarded your information. Somebody should get in contact with you on that.

    hope this helps!
