Ignition Connector Module Needs to be Restarted Periodically
For those of you who are using the Ewon Connector Module for Ignition, do you have to restart the module periodically to restart live tag value polling? I have had to do this 3-4 times in the past 3 weeks.
Looking at the Ignition Logs when the tag values stopped updating, there is nothing that I can see that would indicate an issue. Looking at the Flexys directly, live data is being captured during the downtime.
Any thoughts on what could be happening would be greatly appreciated!

Which Version of the Connector are you using?
The newest Version out should be v2.0.1 you can get that from here: https://github.com/hms-networks/IgnitionEwonConnector/releases/tag/v2.0.1
If you are already up to date or an update doesn't help:
To understand your issue better i try to do a summary here:
You use something like Modbus or a PLC to gather Data with the Flexy right?
And then you use the Ignition Connector to connect to the Ignition software that presents your Data in a nice way.
You see no Problems with the Modbus/ PLC Part and the Flexy is gathering the live values properly.
But at some point they stop arriving at your Iginiton Software there are no error messages
Sorry i'm not familiar with the Ignition Module or Software: there are no logs that show each time that a Datapackage has arrived or? it's probably just the live Value not changing anymore? So unclear if messeges are still send at all.
There is one more Log that could be interesting: can you see a difference in the Realtime log of the Flexy between the times the connection with ignition works and when not? Please create backup + support Files of both states and we will switch this to a Ticket so you can upload them.

I have version 2.0.0 currently installed. I will upgrade to 2.0.1 version before proceeding further.
As far as your summary, you are exactly correct.
I will also review the Realtime log as you indicated.

I had yet to install the new version of the Connector Module because I wanted to see the to see the issue again and check the logs.
This morning I noticed that all the tag values in Ignition were not updating. There was nothing in the Realtime Logs or the Event Logs on the Flexys from this time period. However, the Ignition logs displayed these error messages:
Seems to be an issue with the API call. I have now installed the 2.0.1, which restarted live tag values in Ignition successfully. I will continue monitoring with the newest version.

I hope you didn't have to reboot this week *thumbs pressed*
Hope it doesn't happen again but if it does: it's always good to have a backup of how it's working and when not. (especialy the last one but the first one can also be helpful sometimes)
And any error messages on the iginiton webpage aswell. We will have to switch to ticket though it's not possible to add backups to the Forum.
