This article shows you how to create a serial log with the Anybus Communicator Classic that you can share with the support team, to provide an easier way to analyze your problem.

PRE-REQUISITES
- Anybus Configuration Manager - Communicator RS232-422-485 software installed
- AB70xx connected to the PC
IN THIS ARTICLE
1. Connect the Anybus Communicator Classic.
2. Start the log by pressing the "Start Logging" Button
3. On the prompt, select the logging method. Here, select the "Log until Full" option and confirm it with OK (3).
4. If the log window will not appear within the next 30 seconds, you can stop logging manually by pressing the "Stop Logging" Button (4).
5. On the log window, press the "Create Text file" Button (5) to export the Log.
6. Please select the file location and the File name (6) where you want to save the log and press the Save button (7) to save it.
7. After that, go to the file location you saved the log and upload the .txt file to the support ticket.
