ISSUE / QUESTION
Using a USB-to-CAN V2 compact to monitor CAN bus traffic with canAnalyser3 mini, I always get the "Controller initialization failed" error.
POSSIBLE CAUSE / ANSWER
It is possible that you are trying to initialize a CAN‑FD baud rate.
If so, try using a standard CAN baud rate instead.
There appears to be an issue with older VCI versions when CAN‑FD was previously selected.
In this case, CAN‑FD must remain selected, but a standard CAN baud rate should be configured. After that, it is possible to switch back to CAN without FD.
