This document will show how to use OPCUA custom name spaces and how to browse for them in UA Expert
Products Supported:
DA10, DA30, DA50, DA70, All Graphites, All CR3000s,
Software needed:
Crimson 3.2.1055 or newer
Steps:
- Setup up the device normally - this knowledge is assumed already if you are going to use this for OPCUA
- After creating all needed tags and placing them into the OPCUA public data folder as shown below.
3. Now you will set up the OPCUA server as shown above, you can feel free to change the name of your server for whatever function/machine you deem fit. See below.
4.Please notice the use of the custom name, I am using a small DA30 for this illustration
5. Now you can see that instead of an IP or MAC ID I have used the custom name for the Server.
6. Add in that server name to UA Expert as shown above then highlight that and right click and select Browse
7. You will then see this pop open
8. If you click on the tags folder OR you can right click and hold the folder and drag it into the middle of the screen and you will start to get live data.
9. This makes the process very easy to configure and it also gives you an easy way to keep track of what station you are talking too because you can use the custom name to let you know what device is talking to you.
