Product Description
The products are advanced data‑management devices that perform protocol conversion and data logging, and provide a web‑based virtual HMI facility.
The products support BACnet slave and master modes over:
- MS/TP
- Ethernet (802.3)
- UDP/IP
Note: While BACnet is a peer‑to‑peer protocol, the implementation operates in either a master (client) or slave (server) role.
BACnet Standardized Device Profiles (Annex L)
- B‑ASC – BACnet Application Specific Controller
- B‑SS – BACnet Smart Sensor
- B‑SA – BACnet Smart Actuator
BACnet Interoperability Building Blocks Supported (Annex K)
- DS‑RP‑B – Read Property
- DS‑RPM‑B – Read Property Multiple
- DS‑WP‑B – Write Property
- DM‑DDB‑B – Dynamic Data Binding
- DM‑DOB‑B – Dynamic Object Binding
- DM‑DCC‑B – Device Communication Control
- DM‑RD‑B – Reinitialize Device
Standard Object Types Supported
The following BACnet object types are supported:
- Analog Input
- Analog Output
- Analog Value
- Binary Input
- Binary Output
- Binary Value
- Device
Conditions Applying to All Object Types
- Objects are neither dynamically created nor deleted
- No proprietary properties are implemented
- No properties are writable unless required by the BACnet specification
- No properties have restrictions beyond the BACnet specification
Optional Properties Supported (Device Object Only)
- Local_Time
- Local_Date
Segmentation Capability
Segmentation is not supported.
Data Link Layer Options
- BACnet/IP (Annex J)
- ISO 8802‑3 Ethernet
- MS/TP Master at 9600, 19200, 38400, and 76800 baud
- MS/TP Slave at 9600, 19200, 38400, and 76800 baud
Device Address Binding
Static address binding is not supported.
Networking Options
No networking options are supported.
Character Sets Supported
- ANSI X3.4
Gateway Functionality
The BACnet implementation can expose and accept writes to any data items obtained through compatible communications devices supported by the runtime environment.
Data items may be mapped as standard analog or binary BACnet object types.
