INSTRUCTIONS
We can create a setup that allows for remote access or site-to-site tunnel with IPSec VPN. Navigate to IPSec via “VPN” -> “IPSec”
Under IPsec Tunnels, click “Add P1”
Remote gateway should be the IP of which network to connect to (E.g. WAN address of other Defender)
Generate a new Pre-Shared Key and copy it
After saving P1, click “Show Phase 2 Entries (0)”
Click P2 to add Phase 2
Set Remote Network to the LAN address of the remote Defender
Set the Remote Gateway to allow connections from the destination firewall’s IP-address
And paste the copied “Pre-Shared Key”
Connect to the IPsec VPN via “Status” -> “IPSec”
- The IPsec VPN will connect to Defender from itself
- The IPsec VPN will tunnel between these firewalls with LAN
IPSec Tunnel with HA
IPsec tunnels work great with Anybus Defender in High availability mode also. What to think about is that the tunnels must point to the Virtual Gateway address.
