Abstract:
This technote is for crimson products that get stuck in the boot loader. Depending on the unit you have this presents itself as a flashing STS light or for units with screens it will display the model unit in the center with a V number in the bottom corner.
Required Software: You should use the same version of software that the unit you have is currently running.
Primary Connection: USB or RS232
Solution:
You need to create a simple crimson database to load into the unit. To do that open crimson and click file>New and select your product. Open the data tag section in the Navigation pane and create a tag.
Apply power to the unit and after you apply power during the startup repeatedly try to load the simple database into the unit using link>update or F9. Your goal is to catch a small timing window that the unit is able to receive databases over USB or RS232.
