Abstract
An invalid configuration is allowed in the tool kit but the RTU does not support. This document identifies what this configuration is and that it will not work.

Use Case: Invalid serial configuration
Required Software
Sixnet I/O Tool Kit 5.0.100 or above
ST-IPm-8460 firmware 7.0.100 or above
Invalid serial port configuration will be allowed but it will not work in the RTU
Serial port configuration. The Sixnet I/O Tool Kit will allow the user to configure 7 data bits, Space Parity and 1 Stop bit in the serial ports, but this is not supported by the RTU firmware.
