This note applies to the following Red Lion cellular router/RTUs:
SN/RAM-66xx, SN/RAM-67xx, SN/RAM-68xx, SN/RAM-69xx, RAM-99xx
Whitelist Rules or ACLs are used to define a single IP Address or an entire network that would be allowed to access the network behind the Red Lion RTU or router. Whitelists are created in Network>Firewall>ACL Rules screen.
Enter a Whitelist Name (Required): Enter a name for the whitelist in the space provided. If the name of an existing whitelist is entered, then you are in effect adding another member to the list of subnets defined by that whitelist group. This whitelist name will become available for selection in the other Firewall Rules sections where a whitelist can be selected. Note: The first whitelist entry, the ‘default’ entry may not be deleted or have its name changed.
Enter Subnet (Required): Enter the network allowed to make connections, using IP/CIDR notation. To specify a single host, use x.x.x.x/32, where x.x.x.x is the host’s IP address. Click on the Finish button.
In the following example, access to the router’s WebUI is allowed only from two IPs: 166.155.144.133 and 77.76.76.74.
1. Two ACL rules are created with the same name "allowWEB"
2. To restrict access via the configured whitelist "allowWEB", select it in the drop-down menu in Network->Firewall-General settings
An ACL can be also applied to port-forwarding (host redirect) rule.
