In the Web GUI: Go to USBIP on Ewon device:

Or search for USB IP in the search field upper left:

Then enable USBIP, Log level and Start port can be the default, make sure the password field is empty.

Update at the bottom of the page, go to Reboot on the left sidebar and restart the device.

Connect the Anybus Defender Compact and the Ewon device using the USB cable from the Compact.

You should see a new USB connection appear on the Ecatcher, press connect and wait until the connection is completed. You can now open the Anybus Defender Compact Manager software and connect to the Anybus Defender Compact using the USB - over the Talk2M connection. 

Connect from WAN/LAN

To Connect over TCP/IP on the LAN respective WAN interface you must enable the device to listed to respective port. In the Anybus Defender Compact Manager GUI go to Settings -> System, there you can configure what users can login via what port. 

NOTE: Only in NAT/Gateway mode you can distinguish LAN from WAN, in Bridge mode you select both LAN/WAN together.  

You must be on the same subnet to be able to connect with the Manager software and configure the device via WAN/LAN. This is a security setting (the device is intended to be configurable locally only).

Connect from another subnet

You can enable to Coimmand LIne Interface to be availible from other subnets, via the WAN port only. If  you wish to enable this, you must configure the following in the CLI (while locally connected):

      config → configlevel-wan remote

This only works for the WAN interface
