The Ewon Edge & Cloud solution allows users to read data from their PLC, meters, controllers,... and forward them to Aws IoT or Azure IoT Hub cloud. The communication drivers supported today are Siemens (S7), Allen Bradley (Ethernet/IP) and Modbus TCP.

PLC Communication Settings
- Open the Ewon devices properties and click "Devices"
- Click the "..." icon and select "Add a new Device to your Gateway"
- Enter a Device Name and Description, then choose Ethernet/IP as the Protocol.
- Select the PLC Type: Only ControlLogix PLC are supported for now.
- Type the PLC IP address and the Path (Port and CPU Slot) according to your PLC configuration.
- Define the polling interval to read the data
Tag Configuration
- Click the Tab "Tag configuration"
- Type a Tag name and Description
- Type the Address of your Tag as it has been defined in RSLogix.
- Select the Data type :
- Repeat this for every tag you want to define.
By using the iconsyou can also export and import your Tags via a XLS file.
Once the device and the tag configuration are properly setup, click the icon to push the configuration to your Ewon Edge gateway or
if you want to apply the new configuration locally via USB.
