Using the File Recording to log RPOFIBUS messages over a longer period in ProfiTrace

If you want to log PROFIBUS messages over a longer period, for example to store process data, you can use the File Recording option. File Recording generates files with PROFIBUS messages. The size and quantity of these files can be adjusted.

 

1. Click “Action” -> "Start file recording".

2. Choose the file save path and  give the initial filename.

3. Set the file size and quantity.

File size limit：2047 Mbyte.
Max.messages per file is 100 000 000.
Max.files is 10000.

4. Click “OK”.

 

 

 

 

If you enabled multiple file recording, you also have the option to stop recording if the maximum number of files  has been reached. Another option is to delete the oldes file, where the recorder acts as a continuous logger.

5. Click “Action” -> "Stop file recording" to stop the file recording.

 

Notes: Please don't turn off the PC while recording.
