How to fix eCatcher USB driver error
If you encounter the following error -> The installation for eCatcher will not be completed.
Translation for the error:
| "Remote USB connectivity is not enabled. The USB drivers require to reach the USB devices connected to the Ewon are not installed on this computer. Restart the eCatcher installer and select the "Enable USB over IP feature" option to install the required USB drivers." |
This issue is typically caused by restricted user permissions on a computer or, in rare instances, the eCatcher installation may disrupt the USB ports of your PC due to the Eltima driver installation.
In such cases, please uninstall the driver first:
- Execute the following command in a command prompt, opened with the "Run as administrator" option. This command uninstalls the Eltima driver.
C:\Program Files (x86)\eCatcher-Talk2M\UsbService\drivers\setup_server_ung.exe
eCatcher utilizes USB drivers provided by Eltima.
