PRE-REQUISITES (Mandatory)
The pre-requisites for this process are the following:
- Intesis Maps Installed
- For TCP, network information such as IP, Port, and Slave number
- For RTU, physical configuration such as interface type, baud rate, data type, slave number
IN THIS ARTICLE (Mandatory)
Adding Modbus TCP Slave/Server Device
- Open/Create a network project with Intesis Maps that includes a Modbus Master Interface
- Navigate to the Modbus Master section within Configuration tab.
- Once you select TCP, you will be able to add a Node for the Server Device Configuration.
- The Node configuration outlines the Network connection information required for the Modbus Master to connect to the Modbus servers. You will enter the Node IP, Port information, as well as number of devices on the Node.
- Once the node and devices have been added, you will then need to configure the device. Ensure that each device has an individual slave number.
Add Modbus RTU Slave Device
- Open/Create a network project with Intesis Maps that includes a Modbus Master Interface
- Navigate to the Modbus Master section within Configuration tab.
- Select the RTU Port you are using for a connection. Then configure the RTU Port Baud rate, Data Type, and Time InterFrame
- Once the node and devices have been added, you will then need to configure the device. Ensure that each device has an individual slave number
