ecatcher vpn connection problem username special character

has the problem of no vpn connection for username /ansi characters/ been resolved?
I'm talking about soft ecatcher 7.03

  The Bug is on the List - to Fix, but it has low priority at the moment.

  I'll open a support Ticket for this now. But you will just get the same info again ;-D
