Fanuc Robot CP1616 and Mitsubishi PLC (CC-Link)

Hi,

We are setting up Anybus X-gateway (CC-Link Slave - PROFINET-IO Device) (AB7661) for the Fanuc robot controller and Mitsubishi PLC.

The Fanuc Robot Controller has CP1616 (PROFINET) board and its IOs (DI/DO and UI/UO) are defined. Also IOs on Mitsubishi PLC have been set up. I would like to communicate the signals between them via X-gateway as bypass.
The IP Addresses of CP1616 and Anybus are assigned and the physical connections are done.

Now I have no idea how we can start the communication setting.

If I need the PLC, we have Siemens S7-1200 PLC and TIA Portal V14 and we can use it.

Please give me the idea how I need to configure.

  Hello,

  If the Fanuc Robot controller is also a PROFINET IO slave device then you will need a PLC like you mentioned. The configuration of this gateway is straightforward because it is a slave on both sides. Most of the configuration is in the PLC configuration. All documentation can be found here,
